Gordon Vet Clinic is a family owned and run business that focuses on high-quality care for our small animal patients. While visiting a vet clinic may be for routine maintenance and health checks, we understand that it can be stressful for family members when their beloved pet is sick.

At Gordon Vet Clinic, we aim to always interact with our clients in a respectful manner, providing honest information with care and empathy. We are transparent about treatment available, possible outcomes and the costs associated with treatment options.

Dr Alastair MacLennan has worked as a veterinarian in the local area for 18 years and has a reputation for treating both animals and their owners with respect, kindness and compassion – all while providing top quality care.
​
Dr MacLennan has extensive surgical and medical experience and has performed a wide range of surgeries including Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV) correction, large neoplasia removals, limb amputation, severe traumatic wounds, cruciate repair, caesareans, and foreign body removals.
​
Throughout his career, Dr MacLennan has treated a wide range of medical issues, including emergency presentations such as snake bites, heat stress, rat baits and patients hit by vehicles. While his current focus is on the treatment of small animals like cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets and birds, Dr MacLennan has also previously treated farm animals.
